Corluka was conceived in Derventa, Bosnia and Herzegovina. His guardians, Jozo and Andja originate from Modran, a humble village close Derventa. Because of the common war in Bosnia, in 1992, the whole family moved to Zagreb, Croatia where his father still workes as an ingeener in addition being Corluka's boss, and his mother is a judge.
